Héctor Del Curto Special Workshop at Jinseki International School

2026年10月9日（金）、神石インターナショナルスクールにて、グラミー賞受賞バンドネオン奏者 Héctor Del Curto（エクトル・デル・クルト）による、小学生を対象としたGLEスペシャルワークショップを開催します。
今回のテーマは、「世界を身近に感じること」。

アルゼンチン・タンゴを代表する楽器、バンドネオン。

「バンドネオンってどんな楽器？」「アルゼンチン？移民の音楽？」「タンゴってどんなリズム？」「世界には、どんな音楽があるんだろう？」

小学生たちは、初めて出会う楽器の音を間近で聴き、エクトルさんとの対話を通して、その歴史や文化、音楽の面白さを探究します。

GLEが大切にしているのは、音楽の「知識」を学ぶことだけではありません。
世界で活躍するアーティストと実際に出会い、異なる文化や価値観に触れ、「知らなかったものを知りたい」と思う好奇心、探究心を育てること。

そしてワークショップの最後には、子どもたちも演奏に参加。
プロのアーティストの演奏をただ「聴く」のではなく、一緒に音を奏で、一つの音楽をつくり上げる——そんな共演を体験します。

一つの楽器、一つのリズム、そして一人のアーティストとの出会いから、世界がぐっと身近になることを願って。

On Friday, October 9, 2026, GLE will present a special workshop for primary school students at Jinseki International School, featuring Grammy Award-winning bandoneonist Héctor Del Curto.
The theme of the workshop is “Bringing the World Closer.”
The bandoneon is an instrument at the heart of Argentine tango.

“What is a bandoneon?”
“Argentina? Music born from immigration?”
“What kind of rhythm is tango?”
“What other kinds of music are there around the world?”

Through the sound of an instrument many of them will encounter for the first time, and through conversation with Héctor, the students will explore the history, culture, and fascinating world behind the music.

At GLE, we believe that learning about music is about much more than simply gaining musical knowledge.

By meeting internationally active artists in person and experiencing different cultures and perspectives, we hope to inspire curiosity and a spirit of exploration — the desire to discover something they have never known before.

At the end of the workshop, the children will also join Héctor in making music.
Rather than simply listening to a professional artist perform, they will have the opportunity to play together and experience what it means to create one piece of music together.

Through one instrument, one rhythm, and one encounter with an artist, we hope the world will suddenly feel a little closer.
